And a lot of the '66 4-speed cars got T-10s as well, despite what you may have read. That said, if you have a choice, get the top loader. I had a T-10 that I could not get to quit jumping out of 2nd gear during deceleration. They just don't seem as robust as the Ford-built unit.

Overdrive was an option. I'm not positive about input shaft length, but the bolt pattern is the same as other 50s and 60s Borg-Warner three speeds.
